I recently purchased one of these which was missing a part and did not appear new. So they sent me another one which died the first day I used it. So they sent me by email the labels to return them. I replied several times that I did not have access to a printer so could they mail them to me. No go, I guess. And with the 30 days exchange policy, from the time they send it no less, and all the time I spent trying to get through to some human person, the 30 days whizzed by, and now I'm stuck with 2 vacuums!!! Every store I go into has 90d. return policies, which would make way more sense esp. when ordering online. Not everyone has time for all the internet goobling that seems necessary when returning something defective, & I am NOT comp. savvy! So I will never buy a large heavy item again online! Also I got my daughter one before and she doesn't like it because the bags fill up too fast esp. with dog hair. So maybe for a single person without pets and in a small place it might be ok if you can purchase it in town... just in case.

I just got this vacuum today and am very happy with it! The price is unbeatable and it's sturdy, well-made and my carpets look fabulous now! It seems to move on it's own so it's very easy to push. The noise seems about average or a little quieter compared to other vacuums I've owned. The wide path is great and all the attachments fit well into the side and back of the vacuum so you won't loose them in your house. The cord is definitely long enough. I haven't found any complaints yet so I'm thrilled with my purchase and would recommend this vacuum to anyone who wants a high quality, easy to use vacuum at an excellent price.

I read all the reviews about this vacuum and i have to agree. I love it, it makes my cheap apartment carpet look new. I will never go bag less again.

It basically sucks itself over the floor. Only rarely do I need to go over the same area of carpet and I have both a cat and a dog; lots of pet hair. The only problem I have is that the tools to do furniture are fairly short and don't seem to do a great job; I'll probably buy extensions for them.

This goes down as the worst product I have ever purchased. It barely picked dirt up when it was new and after only 15 uses it does not pick up even the smallest piece of styrofoam. Other issues: hose pulls out of the back when extended to use the wand. Hose itself is way too short so vacuuming high spots means picking up the whole "vacuum". This "vacuum" is great at spreading the dirt all over while not actually picking anything up. Avoid this cheaply made item. Makes the top of my worst product list and I will never purchase another thing from Hoover.
