 Buyer Beware--the Belt Breaks Often and Is Hard to Replace! December 25, 2008

The price seems to be right on this and it does pick up well, BUT our belt has broken twice in the first six months of owning it. Very frustrating! And the belt replacements are difficult to find.

Great vacuum! Excellent suction, lightweight and self-propels very well. Could have a longer cord and larger bag but I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent machine for the price. We have gone through at least one vac a year, over the last several years due to dog hair mainly from our Great Pyrenees. Nothing we've tried picks up the hair better, and that includes vacs like the Dyson, Oreck etc. The only downside is the bags don't hold a housefull of dirt and dog hair. However, this machine does the job more than adequately and might even last longer than a year. Even if it doesn't it beats paying 3 or 4 hundred $ a year for a vac that only pics up half the dirt and hair. The beater also needs less cleaning than the other more expensive types. Highly recommend this affordable workhorse.

This vacuum ranked higher in consumer reports than the dyson ball and other units ranging from 400-1000 dollar ammounts. It has not been a dissapointment. Very strong suction and it is light and small enough that it is easy to get out. My husband has vacuumed more in the last month than he has the last 20 years together because this is an easy item to use. He had a thing against my 1400 dollar Themax vacuum because it took too much effort to put water in the tank and dispose of the water when he was through. review written by Belinda

Have had this model for about half a year now. It works really well on carpets and suction strength is incredible. Glad I did not pay extra for a more expensive vacuum. Only two things that annoy me. The filter bags fill up very quickly so make sure you have some extras. Also the belt on it broke after only a few of weeks of use. They are very difficult to find in stores but luckily hoover sells them online.
