Black & Decker as good as Rowenta December 22, 2008 Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron I was looking for a new iron to replace my now dead one. I looked at lots of irons. I saw several comments that Black and Decker was better than Rowenta, so I started to look. This iron was on close out and I couldn't resist the price.
Awesome Iron December 22, 2008 This iron is really great! I received it pretty fast and when I did use it, it was really light compared to the Shark iron I had previously. I love the little LCD display and the water container holds a lot more water than one's I've used before.
Best iron I ever purchased. December 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this iron. It heats up in a very short amount of time. It is a wonderful product. It received excellent reviews in Consumer Reports and they were right on the money.
very good iron, great price on sale December 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I seem to have gotten a one-day sale. For what I paid its a great deal. Its a little on the heavier side, but it feels firm and steady. I had a little water drip onto my cloth when I used the steam feature, but it wasn't too terrible. I haven't figured out how to use the vertical steam yet... the iron is a little heavy for me, but I guess that doesn't say much. It ironed pretty well.. considering how wrinkled my tablecloth was originally. It has certain preset settings (only 7) for different types of cloth, which limits its flexibility in temperature settings. The burst of steam is a short, quick, forceful burst. I used the cotton setting for my cotton tablecloth and found the heaviest creases from factory folding were hard to get out... but all in all I do think its a great iron. It warms up VERY quickly - much faster than irons Ive used in the past - has an auto-off setting. Beware that it uses a LOT of power - I blew my surge protector on the first use and the only other thing plugged into it was my small Dell laptop.
excellent iron - great value December 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We loved its looks, functionality, and performance, especially for the price we paid. I would hate to pay twice as much or more for big name European products which are not even as good.
