Loved it until it died a premature death December 27, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
While this iron worked, it was incredible. Problem is, it only lasted about 6 months. One day it started beeping, overheated, and then quit cold turkey, never to restart. A short, sweet life, but I don't think an iron should be a constantly replaceable item. I haven't had time to contact Black and Decker yet, but I'm not happy about the short life span of this product.
Great Deal! December 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Rowenta irons have always been my favorite until I got tired of spending the extra bucks for an iron. I purchased the Black & Decker D2030 approximately 6 months ago and I am totally satisfied. It performs just as well as the more expensive irons and it is lighter weight. I would highly recommend purchasing this iron to anyone.
Wish it could iron my shirts by itself. December 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Oh well. It can't. Anyway, when my last iron didn't survive the header it took off the ironing board onto my basement floor, I decided to replace it with D2030 after reading mostly positive reviews. So far it seems like a good choice. It does an excellent job, and heats up extremely fast. I really can't ask for much more other than I hope it lasts.
Great Iron December 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Recently I had to purchase a new iron. I checked the consumer reports and found the Black & Decker D2030 listed as one of the best. I continued my research and still found this one listed as one of the good ones. I also checked the reviews...most were good except for comments made about the little latch where the water goes in. Some said it was fragile and broke off easily. Well in spite of that comment, I purchased the iron and love it. Many settings and plenty of steam when needed. As far as the latch, yes, I would imagine if you "yank it open" it might break off but as long as you don't force it. It works fine.
Buy the iron. Best I had had in a long time.
Excellent product December 23, 2008 Works great. I hate to iron, but this B & D iron makes ironing a breeze. A must have in any family.
