Braun Coffee Maker water filter December 25, 2007
These water filters are hard to find except online. I like to use these filters on my coffee maker to improve the taste of the coffee. Our tap water has a taste to it and these filters remove it.

We have been needing a new water filter for our coffee maker for quite some time. We couldn't find any at stores so I finally went on-line and there they were on amazon.com. The filter works great.
Water softner for braun coffee pot December 11, 2007
Helps with hard water deposits and limits cleaning to the coffee pot by keeping the water soft and filtering the hard Cleveland water minerals. I think the coffee tastes the best of any coffee pot I have ever owned which were basically Mr. Coffee and maybe some inexpensive off brand.

This will be short, but to the point. I threw out my shaver cleaner with my last Braun Shaver. Big mistake. It is like shaving with a new shaver everyday.

Brita filters for better coffee October 31, 2007
I purchased the Braun coffee maker before realizing that the appliance used a Brita filter. Initially skeptical, I've come to see the value in the approach. First, I think the coffee tastes better as the water, drawn through the filter, is purified and any "taste" is eliminated before it is distributed through the grounds. You get the flavor of the coffee, not the flavor of the coffee and the local water. Second, the filter prevents the formulation of build up within the coffee maker. You know the "white stuff" that forms inside the machine after awhile that's hard to remove? You don't get that with the filter. The filters last for a couple of months and they are really easy to replace. I'm sold!
