Mahvelous, simply mahvelous. I'm hog wild about the product; it makes congressional pork so much more palatable.

4 out of 5 stars The best cooker I've used so far   May 6, 2008

I like this cooker, however, you have to fidget with the cook times and positioning of the bacon for it to work well. I cook a lot of bacon every so often for job breakfast potlucks. It advertises that you can cook 14 pieces at a time. I find that cooking 14 slices takes twice as long as the instructions indicate and the slices are so close together that they tend to stick together as they cook. I like crispy bacon so instead of 14 minutes, I had to cook the bacon for at least 20-25 minutes to get the bacon crispy. I finally decided to cut back and I only put 7-8 slices in the cooker with a space between each slice to cut down on the sticking together. So, now I cook the bacon for about 13 minutes and it seems to work really well.

1 out of 5 stars Waste of Money=Bacon Wave!   April 6, 2008

The Bacon Wave melted the first time we used it--into a glob of plastic and bacon. We weren't really aiming for bacon covered in a nice coating of plastic for breakfast. It all had to be thrown out. Not sure how this product made it to the marketplace--poor quality control or insufficient testing! Who knows! Don't waste your money; we already wasted ours on this defective item. This review didn't allow me to give no stars or minus stars, or I would have. The Bacon Wave was a Bacon Waste!

5 out of 5 stars Great Idea   March 20, 2008
Without a doubt the best bacon cooker for a microwave ever invented and I've tried quite a few. It produces perfectly cooked, perfectly straigt, non-greasy, slices of bacon every time and what could work better on a BLT than a slice of bacon that isn't curled up, dripping grease, and actually fits the bread?

The fat all falls to the bottom and is easily drained, or saved for flavoring other dishes. If you choose to dispose of the grease then a great trick is to run cold water down the drain for a minute and then pour the grease down the drain. Then run the garbage disposal for a second or two if you have one. The cold water congeals the grease and doesn't allow it to coat the pipes and cause clogs, which would happen if you tried this with hot water. Hot water doesn't work.

Last, but not least, I have one small quibble with the Bacon Wave, which is that when run thru the dishwasher it tends to warp a bit. This doesn't affect it's performance, but it's annoying all the same.

5 out of 5 stars Baconwave Review   February 14, 2008

I used a similar product for microwaving bacon in the past. However, this is by far the best I have ever used. I followed the instructions and the baconwave is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to cook bacon quickly and easily. It is also a healthier approach since the grease is released to the bottom of the baconwave. The best part is being able to remove the bacon with the skewers. Try it - you won't be sorry!
