Works fine for me January 4, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used this product several times when I've run out of K-Cups and find that it makes a good cup of coffee. Filling the filter does take some getting used to, but it's not difficult. Once you figure out how much you need to fill it for the cup of coffee you like, it's a breeze. I haven't had any trouble using mine.
$49+ ... WAY overpriced! January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
$49.99? This item sells for $14.95 from Keurig and in local stores!
WHAT A RIPOFF ...
Great Backup January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Uses: I'm using it as back up for when my k-cups run out and we're in between shipments. I use Tully's and Green Mountain. Pros: It was easy to install. I like being able to use regular grounds, I stick mainly with good coffee. You have more coffee choices available to you than what's available in k-cups. It is a greener option to the k-cups. Cons: Not as easy as k-cups. If you grind too fine or overfill the cup it can overflow. Since I save and reuse my grounds for gardening or dying, this is actually a bit more difficult to retrieve them from.
Tips: If it's too weak, try a slightly finer grind. Since I'm not an expert in grinds, it helped me to see what my k-cup's grounds look like and then visually compare. It's probably better to grind at home as well, than to rely on store grinders.
Wow expensive January 2, 2009 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was surprised to see the price of this filter on Amazon. You can go to any retailer such as bed bath and beyond, target, Kohls etc and pay 14.99. You got to be kidding me on the price. Who's making the profit here????? While I love my coffee maker this is a rip and disappointment to see on amazon
WEAK COFFEE December 28, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't understand the remarkable ratings for this product. I filled the basket with Dunkin Donuts Coffee and the coffee was very light in color, I could not even bring myself to taste it, threw it out. I thought how wonderful that I could get a great cup of coffee faster than using my Kitchenaid Proline Coffee Pot. Forget it, I will be using my Kitchenaid pot, I get an incredible cup of coffee with that. The Keurig brewer is fine for the pods, but I have not yet found any coffee that tastes as good as the Dunkin Donuts coffee. Has anyone tried making Hot Chocolate with the pods??? Terrible, no flavor, the chocolate does not dissolve completely from the pods. You have to pour the chocolate into a mug otherwise the hot chocolate tastes terrible. Do not recommend this product and if you get the Keurig Brewer, use the K-Cups for coffee. The positive thing I can say about the machine is the wather is very hot. Also, if you use the filter, it splashes everywhere making a mess. The base where a mug sits on vibrates and the mug moves around, you can't just press the cup size and walk away. My B60 machine has 3 cup sizes, the only one that makes a full mug is the large size, yet not a large enough cup to fill a travel mug.
